Title: Wooden Hanging?

Anyone know what this thing is called exactly? What is its purpose? Thank you. ;)

Can you please describe the two pictures.  Are they both the same thing?  Does the bar fit over the pegs?  Two different pieces?

Also, please tell us the dimensions of the piece.

It looks to me like it is just a pretty wall shelf ... for spices, collectibles or whatever.

It measures approx. 19" long. The bar over the pegs are attached to it. Both pictures are of the same item.

Cogar is right !! Most found in kitchens from the 50`s to 70`s !! For knick knacks, S&P shakers some were used for those spices most commonly used !! My mother had one !! Just made of pine by many home craftsmen !!
