If it will hold a mattress as they are made today it would sell in Manhattan where small space rents for sky high prices. They were made for the same reason in the late 1800s. They still make Murphy beds for that market. I would say around 750.00 to maybe 1200.00 if useable. Anywhere else I would imagine less.

Little higher here because not many found especially if it has an early date !! $1200. to $1500. in my area of Texas !! They are usually purchased as a novelty piece and are sometimes used in office/guest room combination !!

Mart, there were some beauties sold in Grapevine a couple of years back that the fellow who refinished/sold them was located somewhere east of Tyler. The pieces looked like a fireplace when folded up and were extremely comfy when made into a bed. They were museum quality from Victorian times. He sold them easy peasy for over $3,000 each.
Now that we have kiddos leaving the nest I am wanting a Murphy bed again. So....we will see. I would say that they hit it right on in values.

That would be in the Longview area !! Haven`t heard of anyone !! Do you remember the name ??
