Title: Help to Date a Royal Dux Vase Please!

Hi all, I have this Royal Dux vase. It has a crystalline glaze and is 23 cm high. As I understand the mark was used from 1918 to 1993 so that does mot help very much to narrow down when it was made. What do you think, could it be Art Deco, or is it more likely a product of the 1950s/60s or even newer?

Not exactly the same, marking is also different but, pattern looks alike.

Thank you Niels, yes, the vase you show is indeed very similar, but dating these crowned Bohemia Marks seems to be difficult too! I hope the seller has more info than I have on these marks!

According to PM&M if your vase does not have the triangle mark it would have been made between 1912 and 1945 !! The owner of that site (Chris Marshall) is a member here and is an expert on porcelain !! Maybe he will pop in and take a look !! Don`t know how he knows but it seems like every time his name is typed in,,he shows up !! Hopefully this will be no exception !!

Thank you mart, yes, his opinion would be interesting! I know his site and have seen the Royal Dux marks there. There is another good site for Bohemian porcelain you certainly know ( http://www.collectorscircle.com/bohemian/porcelain/marks_table2.html ) , and there the mark is dated from 1918 to 1993. On my internet search I did find some vases that certainly are newer than 1945, so that is why I am uncertain about this one!

Yes, I know the site well !!  But in my opinion they do not narrow the timelines down as much as is needed for many things !! Let me see if I can PM Chris and get him to take a look !!

Hi all,

I would normally have responded a bit earlier, but my younger brother died a few days ago.
---
Shown mark, without triangle, 1918-1945. Item has a "reactive" (random) decoration and is therefore more or less unique as no two pieces have the same decoration.
