Does anyone know anything about this chair? I have two of them. They were left to us from an old man we bought a house from. He didn't seem to know anything about them and I've looked online and haven't been able to come up with anything. I was curious if anyone knew anything about it or could offer some idea of what it could be.

Can you turn it upside down and take a pic of the underside of the seat ?? Is that a vinyl covering ?? Looks Italian or Mediterranean origin !!

Here ya go. The underneath is just wood and you can see where the back piece is sat in the seat piece. I'm not sure what the covering is exactly but my guess would be vinyl. Also the back of the chair is in these pictures. It's a flat back.

Oh toot....I know I have seen these before. I always think of the Flemish when I see this style. Wish Dewayne was on here...he could name it immediately!
These always remind me of a birthing chair...but it doesn't have the handles.

That's possible KC !! One thing I can tell is that its not a very old chair but was made to look older !! The rough carving marks on the legs does not match the back !! My guess is 60`s or 70`s !!
PM Dewain and maybe he can take a look !!
