The frame is metal and also the picture is too. Like tin or something? Pretty unique and different to me. You think it was a reproduction made to look older? Anyone seen anything similar to this before in the past? What do you think is its possible worth? Rarity? 16 1/2" wide

Yes, I have had many of them !! It is heavy gauge tin from the Victorian Revival period 1880 to about 1920 !! They sell pretty well if in good condition !! $60. to about $125. if it has the curved glass !! If the glass has been replaced about $50. !!

That's pretty neat. Thanks for the info. This doesn't have the glass at all. The picture bows outward. I don't know if it's a painting or picture on there. How would you clean something like this? The picture itself?

Probably a photo or litho !! No painting goes under glass !! That looks like water damage and that would take a professional conservator and it would cost more than its worth to restore !! Just dust or dirt can be wiped off gently with a soft cloth !! No more !!
