Are we allowed to buy or sell items in the topics? If not in an open topic, are we allowed to do so in a private message?

We do not buy or sell on the site,,it is informational only !!   As for PM,, I have never heard anything pro or con on that but you should ask KC,, our moderator !!  You might consider simply exchanging private email addresses if there is an interest in such !!  Some of our members sell on ebay or other sites so you can check on that as an option !!
