Title: Antique horseshoes?
Post by: bottlehunter212 on January 07, 2015, 01:00:41 PM: So my moms side of the family lives in Germany and last time i went to visit after my grandma died i was going through some stuff and i found 2 cool looking horseshoes. They would have been thrown away so I grabbed them... Family storys say that my great great great grandfather found them one day in the field and that they are from when the Huns invaded. :o (I will post pictures later)
This is all the info i know about them, any help would be greatly appreciated:
According to my family they where found in a field on the farm which is about 2 miles north of Schlier.
Thats all thts knowen.. any help at all would be great!!! ;D

No one knows if they where on the surface or not but my family has been on the farm for 6 or 7 generations and before that it was owned by the local monystery so the fields have been in use for a looong time so they could have been turned up cause of plowing. :D

If you have a history museum near contact them also. Just send them an email with several photos and they will get back to you. I have done this several times. One of my items was used in a paper. I gave them permission.
