Title: Snuff Mull C 1800

Found this many years ago and one wonders in todays world if it would get confiscated at an airport.  Found a book in a charity shop yesterday and bought it simply because of the image and date on this page sorry for the quality of the pic but its given me a date of 1800.

It most definitely would get confiscated!  Even tho they could open and see!  My hubby is an International Captain and is amazed at the things that are confiscated from people since 911 - some seem logical and others....not so much!

NICE PIECE!  Is yours pewter?  Not a common design at all.  This would definitely be a collector's dream!

Yes it is pewter I wish it was silver but somehow being pewter adds to its charm. As a side note I have retired from flying KC so I see the problem with it..  Miss it a lot

Unfortunatly not I have a fair collection of pewter most are marked but a lot of the older pieces are not

Most definitely!  I wouldn't even know where to begin on a value on this because I KNOW it would be a bidding war with the nature of the subject, the use for the piece and the intricate detail. You have some VERY VERY interesting pieces!  Lucky You!
