Title: Found Neat Sterling Ring any idea of age??

I found this nice ring today metal detecting, just wondering if anyone knows how old it might be or the maker? it is stamped 975 and has the letters GAZ . Thanks

I am wondering if this may be a scarf ring and not a finger ring or even possibly a toe ring.

I agree that this looks like a scarf ring (which is known as a Scarf Clip in many countries even though it is an actual ring).  Trying to tell if this is ebony.  

Will search more later today!
