Title: What's this Wooden Thing?
Post by: valhom on January 30, 2015, 08:53:16 PM
It measures approx. 36" long. Is it a walking stick? cane? Thank you!

Sure looks like this could be a homemade walking stick (has a handle versus hiking stick is straight on the end).  Perhaps someone else will chime in.

That is not a comfortable looking "hand grip" iffen it was made for a cane.

Maybe it t'was a newbie woodworker practicing.

Okay....I looked it up to try and find all there were to see for a gag gift and discovered they have been around for years!!!!!!  Actually used in subzero settings to "direct dampness away" when garbed in heavy clothing!  For real!

Some historical information....
"In ancient China, both men and women stood up to urinate. Chinese noblemen would urinate into hollow canes so the urine would flow far way from their bodies."

They were even made in METAL!  Ooooohhhhh, brrrrrrrrr, coldddddddd!
