Hello everyone,to start in the forum i have a doubt about an antique astrolabe. The item is not in my possession but i have some good photos.I would like to know if it is original or some kind of replica. The owner told me that is from 1555 and he refers that the model is dundee, and the provenience is from a company that went bankrupt. From what i`ve seen on the internet it could be a copy of the well known Dundee astrolabe. But seems too old and the patina looks correct to me.Do you know what the value could be?Thanks for the attention.

Hi, I think this is a modern copy, the numbers look very new to me and the patina seems to be artificial. I dont know how much it is worth, but not too much, I think...

I agree with Mat !! Artificial patina !! I would not buy it for an old piece !!

the numbers look stamped I would expect an old piece to be engraved. I also agree a false patination...sorry
