Title: Black Forest
Post by: wilhenri on February 15, 2015, 03:42:17 AM
A couple of pieces of Black Forest carving for you to look at I have no idea of the value as they have been knocking around for a good few years. I like both the workman trudging home from work and the snuff taking monk.

GORGEOUS PIECES!

I love the detail in the wooden pieces much, much more than porcelain Hummels/Goebels.

Got my first ANRI when I was young and have gotten a few pieces over the years.

In fact, your second piece looks just like this ANRI Toriart! Believe it is a Monk using some snuff!  :)  Is it marked on the bottom?  ANRI's are generally well marked with labeling, metal plates or signatures.
