My mother in law has this glass "serving dish" for the lack of anything better to call it.... She wants to know what it is... can anyone help me with this?

How big is it !! Appears to be a celery dish !!

Can't tell you the size (the dish is in Houston, and I am in Iowa).... looking at the corner of the table in one picture, I suspect the length is ~6-8 inches long, and maybe 8-10 inches tall? Know any web sites where I might find images of similar items?

Yepper this is a banana dish! Cracks me up what people think they are and describe them as over the years.
Even seen it described as a large taco holder!

My Mother in Law thought it was a "celery holder".... I figured bread sticks or fruit...

LOL !! Didn`t know the Victorians had Taco Holders !! But they had speciality dishes for everything else !!
