Title: Can anyone help to identify please!!
Post by: harrywlm on February 21, 2015, 08:16:02 PM
Hi there
My grandfather brought this piece out from England to Australia many years ago. Excuse my ignorance but I'm assuming it's a sideboard. It's a 2 piece unit that seperates above the draw. I'm very interested to know what type of wood this might be and a rough estimate of era? Any estimate on price would also be appreciated. Thanks for your help.
Harry

Can you take a pic of the side panel and one of the dovetail joints on the side of the drawer where the front and the sides attach ??

Looks like a Victorian oak court cupboard. Might be earlier but, as Mart says, would need to see more pics.
