Title: Levin Brothers Sofa
Post by: schm1822 on February 24, 2015, 09:48:20 AM
I have an old Levin Brothers Inc. (Minneapolis-Chicago) sofa and cannot find much information on it. It's not in the greatest condition, but I'm still very curious. I looked everywhere but there is no manufacture date printed anywhere on either of the two pieces. Any information on this sofa would be much appreciated. It appears to be a Victorian Revival per chance. Thanks!

Hi there and welcome to the forum !!  I am pretty sure your sofa is from the 1940`s or as some refer to it the Hollywood Regency period !! It is not Victorian ,, but more in the French style !!  Its quite a pretty and classic style sofa that would look as good today in a semi-formal living room as it did back then !! Levin brothers are still making classic two and three piece sectional sofa`s I think !!  Unless they went out of business recently !!
