Post by: ANTIQUERAIDERS on March 19, 2015, 01:59:14 PM
Can anyone help me identify this silver on copper teapot? I am thinking it is 1800-1900 Dutch/German.

I am attaching the pics of the bottom markings.

thanks in advance

E.G. Webster & Son, Although I am not familiar with the maker it seems you have a cooler one then the one here although that is opinion only.

Yepper, this is a silverplate repousse cocktail shaker.  Many times these were sold as sets along with stemmed glasses, silver tray and at times ice buckets (such as these)

Here's another EG Webster to keep an eye on for sales but it has some issues (love how they listed it as "over polished" instead of missing silverplating:

In all fairness...I haven't seen a EGW&Son shaker sell for that amount -Even in pristine condition.  With this market you will see them sell for $50 - $250 depending on market demand wherever you live.
