Title: What is this clown?
Post by: GreenFrost on April 11, 2015, 07:38:30 PM
Picked this up at a swap meet today. Seemed unusual but I have no idea what it is. The head plays music like a music box once the string is pulled. It has a signature on the bottom of the bottle with a date of July 1975.

Made me think of a bowling pin initially...remembe r in the late 60's to 70's there were bowling games that had sound makers in some of the pins.  BUT....you said a pin had to be pulled....

Can you please post a picture of the bottle?  Is it hollow?  Please post a picture of any writing or symbols.

The bottle is hollow, there is a string attached to the head with a red circle knob that pulls out. I'll get a couple more pictures on here.

Might be considered a "peg doll". I didn't exactly see yours.

looking at the cord, it isn't some sort of outlandish spinning top by any chance?
