Title: Pewter plate?
Post by: Nit on April 20, 2015, 09:50:22 PM
Hi guys, thanks for this resource and your time.

Took a gamble on this plate. Seller was in her 80's and told me she thought it was old when she was a kid.  My research was rather unsuccessful, All i could come up with is that the angel mark could be of continental origin and indicates good quality.  mid 1750's to present i believe?

The angle mark is the standard quality mark found on most pewter items !!  Its kind of like our "Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval",,most good pewter will have a variation of the same seal !!
But don`t give up looking !!
