Found in a charity shop. Probably just something someone painted at home, but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask anyway. Thanks.

Can`t see it !! Can you post the pics to this site ??
-
Those two are not opening either !! What are you taking pics with,,camera or phone and what is the size you are using ??
-
Oh I'm sorry, don't know what happened there!
-
Ok those pics are fine !! Where is the symbol with the initials located ?? What is the size of this item ?? It looks similar to an ashtray where you put your ashes in the top and when full dump them into the bottom part till cold !! then empty into trash container !! Were used in some bars and other clubs !!
-
It's wooden, about the size of a soup bowl. Nothing is detachable. The logo is painted on the bottom of the bowl, and is about 4 inches across.
-
My 1st thought was ....... a Powder Jar .... with missing lid. ;) ;)
-
Is there a lid ?? Wood would eliminate it being an ashtray !!
-
No lid! Could be too big to be a powder jar? Think I'm going to drive myself mad looking at the mark on the bottom, it's starting to look like a taunting face ;D
-
Well, the mark on the bottom was surely done by whoever owned it !! Too crude to have been done by a manufacturer !! It sort of resembles a skull and cross bones with the initials added !!

I originally thought it could be a modern take on a mortar (of a mortar and pestle) until I saw that it was wooden.
Bright/Cheerful decorative item! :)
