This bowl is 10.75" diameter and 4" deep. It' had a dark brown glaze on the interior. On the bottom is a five-pointed star with the words THE GERMAN in it. I am going batty trying to find this mark or the pottery company that made it. Anyone know?

Over the years I came across a few of those bowls, and at the time attributed them to the "Star Pottery /Stoneware Company of Crooksville, Ohio". It's entirely possible there has been updated information on them.
Here's basically the same question.

Thanks. Here's an article on Red Wing & North Star:

However, the North Star mark was a small plain star indented into the item, not a large raised one.
Here's a bowl with a similar mark. The seller doesn't know the maker, either.

I haven't found the information either. Love the bowl. Yellow-ware?
