call me crazy I saw a cake plate when I looked at it.

signed by what looks like a TZ '01 maybe TS?

I wish my pics looked as pretty as this really is

how was it made?

I would have bought it for my mom in a heartbeat!  She is a blue glass collector!  Gorgeous piece.  Not familiar with those markings. 

Is it a solid piece or is the base a separate piece?  The reason I ask, is these days with the Pinterest craze people are marrying pieces together to form cake stands and garden art.  The bottom seems rather small in proportion to the top and looks as if it could easily become top heavy if anything was put on it.

I think it is a cover to something?

You are right Sugarcube,, its a lid of some sort,, Go back where you bought it and see if it got separated from the bottom !!
