Post by: poolchick525 on July 13, 2005, 09:09:24 PM
Hi to all,
I'm a new member, often selling vintage items on ebay. I'm hoping to find contacts to help me research old items for authenticity, value etc.... .
Today's item is a "President Eisenhower" plate by Sanders Mfg. Co. . It is an ivory china plate with reprodution of a pencil(?) sketch of Ike's bust, in a suit and tie with an american flag behind him, signed "Pendleton '52". The outer edge of the plate has radial ridges, with reverse scallops, with vines and leaves, painted in 23k gold, around the perimeter. On the back, also painted in 23k, is the circular company logo and markings:

Any information I could get would be helpful in assessing this piece's rarity/value, as I haven't been able to find anything online.                  Thank You     poolchick525
