Is it a silver metal and gold metal?
My mom had a set that was silver/gold metals that she got in the 1950's similar in design. Believe it even had some white enamel (mirror, comb, brush set). Believe they were touted by nice department stores, Sears, J C Penny's, etc.

I think a picture is required here, or perhaps it got removed somehow? Apologies, I'm rather new to the forum and still trying to work my way around things. But just my 2 cents on antique hairbrushes. It really depends on what the material was that the hair brush is made from. It could possibly be part of a collection of antique jewellery that might make it more valuable.
