Title: Question about salt box

Hello all,
I'm new here, and also new to collecting antiques. Can anyone shine some lite on what I have here. And possibly a value on it?

What is the size please ??  Looks to be someones repro hobby project !!  It is not as old as you think !!

Thanks for the info. It's about 8"x8".
