Hi everyone,
I need help on identifying Family Crest. I purchased at local thrift store in Georgia (USA)
Measuring approximately 10" X 12". Made of solid wood and enamel painted plastic(?) or plaster? When tapping on enamel finish it sounds hollow. Unable to locate any similar Crest or any references. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Sure looks like Moge to me! The only Moge family I could find was of French origin.

Thank you KC...That's what I thought also. But found nothing, I'll research for FRENCH origin. However I had also pondered the idea that it could be possibly Scottish because of the checkered "X" ???. It also appears to be some paint lost on the second letter, which looks like it could be a "b" ??? Mbpe ???

Everywhere I have researched shows of French origin.
REMEMBER that many times people don't know what their family crest would look like (or one was never established) and they request one from the Heraldy Companies....and one is made up. This piece of yours doesn't look that old and this could be the case.
I think you may find this link interesting about the distribution of MOGE families in the world...
