Title: Tree of Life Tapestry

The Tree of Life

Sorry about the sideways photo. The bottom of the tapestry is on the left.

An embroidered tapestry. About 8 feet tall by 4 feet wide.

Possibly early 20th century, from France.


Do any of you have ideas on value? A more exact date?

Similar to the last one pictured here !!  These were made in many variations !!  Have to check on going prices !!

As a follow-up we had this appraised yesterday by a professional. The verdict was that this was made ca. 1870 in France. FYI the value was placed at $1500.

Forgot about this one !!  Sorry Ghopper !! The ones I looked at were mostly early 1900`s and were running from $1K to $1200. so its in the ballpark !!  Good buy if you paid less than that !!

It's been in MsGhopper's family (now the Ghopper1924 family) for over 100 years, so you couldn't beat the price!  :))
