Hi all,
New here.
My mother inherited a wine cabinet about 10 years ago and we want to know where it's from, but mostly anything about its manufacturer. We are not sure whether it is antique or not but we suspect it may have originated in Shanghai over 70 - 80 years ago at least. It has nice carvings on it but no other information. Please see pictures and let me know what you think. Any help would be great.

I don't know much about Chinese furniture, but, given the lines of your wine cabinet, a 1925 Art Deco wine cabinet from Shanghai makes perfect sense.

Ok after doing some research I've found some simila ones (with different carvings), some of which claimed to have been from "George zee and co" - 1950s... A little disappointed if it's not older :(

It may simply be that Deco lingered longer under Communist rule. People were probably more concerned with eating than keeping up with 50s liquor cabinet styles back then!
