Title: Ceramic jar made in en when en by who ?

Nice jar and handmade and looks to me a older piece . Any idea where made and when and by who maybe ?   thanks

Has a look similar to American Southwest but whoever did this one was a hobbyist !!  You would not see that poor craftsmanship in those done by Southwest or Native American artists !!  I am guessing they bought the pot as greenware and just did the artwork as a hobby project !! Probably 1980`s or so when it was a popular past time !!

Thanks . When you hold the jar it's feels and look older then the eighties I think so I think it's a bitty earlier  ?  Do you have any sites where the find this kind off decoration a bit more specific to the native art you mentioned ?

OK !!  Try this !! This is a Southwest wall hanging but its representative of the pottery I was talking about !!  That is if it loads to the correct page !! If not let me know and I will find another !!  As to the age,, there is really no way to tell the age of pottery by its feel or by its look unless you have something to compare it to that is made and dated by the same artist !!  I said 1980`s because that's when the hobby was popular so use your best judgment on that !!
