Title: wax carved wall plaque
Post by: riley's mum on August 04, 2005, 04:05:33 PM

I am looking for information on a piece that I have.It is a wax wall plaque that has a sceen of two men sitting on stools and a woman standing nearby cooking. It looks like a home setting.I know the piece is over thirty years old.It was made in Germany by a man named Von Hugo Kaufmann.I'm not really sure what the correct name for it would be,but it is definately carved in wax.The title on it is Auf Der Alm.If anyone can help me with any info it would be greatly appreciated.

Dunno, but if your curious, iti translates to "on the alp" or "on the mountain"
