Hi, the mark is that of Qianlong, but I think your bottle is 20th century. Have you checked it if it is real carved cinnabar and not cast in some way? Can you see small bubbles on the surface? To be sure, you could post it here, this is a specialized forum: http://snuffbottle.smfforfree.com/index.php

100% cinnabar, you can see all the tool marks under a loupe, there are no mould lines, i've tried to take a close up in higher res. for you, thanks mat! so if its correct that would make it 18th c?

This isn't a perfume bottle.

You might want to search opium or snuff bottle!

They are still being made today.  This may be one of those items that would needs a "hands on" inspection to determine age.

I still tend to think it is 20th century, the mark was and is used also after the Qianlong reign. Could you show a picture of the spoon too?

Mat is correct it's 19th century. There are some Google images the exact same color worth around 100 dollars on the high end. It's a snuff bottle not perfume

Nice & cool little cinnabar item there , awhitetriangle .

Do remember the 'Mad Hatter' when handling with that mercury sulfide stuff , though .... It may be best displayed in a case IMO ...
