Title: something found in a box lot purchased at auction

recently purchased a box lot of odds and ends and found a dish, tear drop shaped with an indented circle in the middle.  Made in france....any clue what it might be.

does it say anything else?  like Limoges?  or a company name?  is it porcelain with dainty decoration?   KB
