Title: Old Stove Emblem

Recently came across a little emblem and was told it is for an old stove. It says 'Fawcett Torrid Oil' on it and I think it might be bronze or something. Measures approx 4.25" inches in height, 4.25" inches in length. Very light weight. Just wondering if anyone here would know the approximate age of this little emblem. I have been looking at pictures of stoves, and I can't find any with an emblem similar to this one.

Post by: Jlsherf on January 23, 2016, 07:57:28 PM: Hi and welcome! I did a quick search and found an advertising pamphlet on eBay for a 1940's Fawcett Torrid space heater. I couldn't blow it up very much but if you look at this heater it appears to have this emblem on the front.

Also this site says they carry replacement parts for these heaters. Maybe someone there could tell you if the emblem has any value.

I came across that ebay ad as well when searching but I didn't catch the emblem on the front of that space heater. Good eyes! I was thinking it might be 1940's but I don't like assuming this stuff. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it! :)
