I will tell you what limited info I have. I am guessing the painting is more than 100 years old as it has been in the family for 3 generations now. It is thought to have come from a wealthy Aunt originally from Europe. There seems to be no artist signature that I can find with the frame on. Although you will see the frame is has a small plaque that reads P Anushkin. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated :D
Are there any other websites or forums around that specialize in this kind of thing?

when I ran google searches for P Anushkin I got references to Russia. But no ref. for an artist. Of course she or he could have been living elsewhere in Europe, in exile maybe?
Intriguing mystery. KB

I also did a search on google to no avail, that is why I posted here.
I wonder if that is even the artist, or maybe it is the title of the piece?

Anyone else know how I might find out what it is?

Still awaiting some kind of feedback
