Title: What are these tables?
Post by: Ruuto on March 20, 2016, 12:25:19 PM
Hello!

First time poster here. We have had these pair of tables in our possession for many years, but I am not entirely sure what they are. I am told that they came from a church at some point, although which one I do not know. One of the tables is marked with 'ER 1962' although I cannot find any information about this online.

As you can see from the photographs, these are in quite poor condition and I am wondering also whether it would be worth having them restored if they are of any value. I would therefore appreciate any information as to the origin of these tables.

Thank you for reading.

Hello Ruuto,

Congratulation on your first post.  The tables appear to be Offertory tables or Flower stands. I am leaning toward flower because the tops look water damaged.  If the  tops are 16 inches or less that would be another indicator pointing to Flower stands.  They can be 200 to 400 hundred dollars new, not sure about the resale market.

That would make sense if they were once at a church as was said !!

Are they nesting tables?  One fit inside the other?

Hi KC,

No, they are both the same size. Thank you for your replies, by the way! They are greatly appreciated.:D
