Title: Modern Satsuma ?? Can anyone read the mark ?? Need help !!

I know this looks like a southwest design but I think its a fairly modern Satsuma piece !!  Can anyone tell what the mark is ??

Hey Mart!  Can't tell from the pictures.  It does mimic the mid 90's.

If you note the base isn't "round" but lopped (when made) and the other side of the base has a chip.  Just not the care taken into making it as you would older pieces.

Yes I saw the chip !!  They were just curious because the mark appears Japanese or Chinese but the design looks southwest !!

This is Japanese, I believe modern Kiyomizu ware from Kyoto. They have the same fine crackle glaze as Satsuma has and use overglaze enamels. I am not familiar with the kiln mark... I would think this is a chawan, a tea bowl for matcha.
