I recived this in other forum
"That "flower" is an applied crab that was "biscuit-fired" without the glaze. The biscuit decoration and flambé glaze suggest to me a couple of kiln possibilities, either the Chinese kilns at Shiwan, near Guangzhou in China, or the Tokyo suburban Sumida Gawa kilns in Japan. However, I couldn't find anything similar associated with either location, so will defer speculation in hopes someone else has a better appreciation of where and when the vase was made.
Best regards"

My first impression is that it is a crab as well. Searching....

Hi, I would tend to Japanese / Sumida-gawa, but I am also not totally sure...

Definitely a crab...or a tick :)
