Who knows what this is ? Looks like a ruler but is it and what's written on it ? Where to find similar  ???

So nice find but I doubt if it is that old as said in the link off the Chinese news paper ?  Looks to me more 19th century more or am i wrong ?

No clue yet but the inscriptions and the name looks to me very very similar with the one from the newspaper and also the overall look of it . So there wrong in age or  I.am very lucky ?  Need to find more  about the rulers off Luban i think  :-\

I believe it said Lu Ban was a person !!  Chinese engineer and carpenter !!

He was but in the text the speak about a Luban ruler (  The Luban carpentry ruler was used in ancient times in the construction of residential houses and furniture. A whole structure and each of its parts would have its height, width and length measured in lucky numbers.

So must be called like that me think ? :P  But still would like to find out the real age off my one off course  :D

LOL !!  Sorry !!  I misread that !!  I was thinking rulers as in  "leaders of a nation "  !!  Totally forgot it was a unit of measure "ruler" !!  Was dealing with stopped up sink and trying to get plumber on phone !!

 :)No we Dutch have water knowledge so nu sink problems in my little country . I have put the Lu Ban ruler on the Asian art forum to see what comes from there . Let you know if I.am able to buy a Golden sink  ;D
