Hi
Today I bought a table which had been painted quite badly. Underneath it has a Druce and company plaque. I know they are 19th century cabinet makers, so would it be worth my while restoring it? Was planning on doing a better paint job but not sure now.

I'd restore it back to its original appearance, but that's me. Are you going to keep the table or sell it?
-
Hi. I did buy it to sell.

Then it might be easier to stress the paint a bit and sell it as "shabby chic."
There, I said it.

That was the idea when I bought it. Was just worried I maybe crecovering something that is to lovely to paint.

I agree. Distress it (age it with a slight wash) and it should do well!
