What is there to know about an etching? Totally new to me. I love this one of my moms.

It's called 'Speed' and was produced in 1927 by the French artist Louis Icart. There have been a wide range of printings of this in differing qualities; it can sell for as little as $20 to as much as $2500 for a signed version.
'Speed' was a popular theme in Art Deco-era art, but it was also an important element of Futurism as well.
There was a sequel to this called 'Speed II' in the early 1930s; Icart also produced other variations on the greyhound themes including 'Coursing' I and II.
It looks like your mom has a signed version. I'm sure she doesn't need to be told to take good care of it. Perhaps one day she'll pass it along to you.

Ghopper, I could only hope that's on my list.... No one else would appreciate it, they would just sell it... they just want the money... to me old things tells stories of a different time. These things speak to my soul, not my pocket book.

Well said. If nobody else wants it, I'd take it too! ;)
