Okay...the chest/trunk and table i have no idea about.
Not sure if table is antique or vintage.
The chest/trunk not sure if it's Indonesian or what. I liked it, so I bought it..
Any ideas or info?

You seem to like the 1940s-50s traditional walnut/mahogany look, and your table is no exception. I'd date it to that time period. You seem to get good prices for your stuff; around here a table like that would bring, maybe, $40-$60.
No ideas about the trunk.

You're correct in your assumption. I'm traditional in my style. I was not sure but thought it was vintage. I don't think it will bring more than $75 at the highest here. I only paid $15 so if I sell it for $50-60 I'll be happy with that.
I'm very curious about the trunk. It's a heavy wood and pretty even though it's not something I will keep for my home. Thanks for the info.

Pictures of the inside and bottom of the chest would help identify it. And of course, any hardware (hinges, latches, locks).
The floral motif painted on it doesn't look to me to be Indonesian or Asian.
I'll guess that it is a repro or re-purposed chest.
HA, ;D ;D ..... visions of Pennsylvania Dutch and "buttermilk" blue paint comes to mind.

Evidently my fingers and brain were on 2 different pages. My mind was thinking that maybe it was from india.

Some of that hardware is replacement, but I would guess from the rest of it that the trunk is no older than the mid-20th century.

Yeah, it's not an old chest but the paint decoration reminds me of a modern version of upper NY state late 18th early 19th century blanket chests. They were very "flowery" up there for whatever reason as opposed to Pa which had a very different painted decoration.
