Hi, :)
Joined to get some info if I can.....know nothing about antiques/collectables........Have come into possession of an unusual nest of tables. They are of an oriental nature, and have carved surfaces under glass. 3 in the set, the largest one being 36.5" wide x 18" deep x 18.5" high, and the 2 smaller ones are 18.5" wide x 12.5" deep x 13" high. As I say I am clueless about this sort of thing, but have a feeling these may be quite valuable, as the person I acquired them from claims they came from the home of a millionaire....(possibly,possibly not).
Any info advice would be welcome.
Thanks
Pete :)

Not antique, but vintage. Kind of like a newer version of this:

I would say by the lines that yours are 1970s. I'd put the value in the upper hundreds $ U.S.

Thanks Goppher........when you say upper hundreds, what sort of figure would you suggest ?......and where would I be likely to sell something like this ?

Price them a bit high, then negotiate. I'd say start around $800 on Craigslist or a local marketplace, then come down a bit. Of course, this is based on E-Bay prices, which tend to be high, so keep that in mind. It also depends on where you are. In the U.S. midwest the prices would definitely be lower, but in California or Hawaii, higher.

I'm in the UK, what's the situation here in your opinion ?

Hopefully one of our UK members will weigh in on that. I don't know the UK market for Chinese mid-century nesting tables, but these seem to be nice ones.

OK, Thanks for your help :)
