I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this item I bought at an antique auction. An appraiser did not know for sure, but thought it was a decoration from a cigar club in England dating late 1800's to early 1900's, like an ashtray. He did not know the value, but said to insure it for $4,500.00. I have sent it off to a few other appraisers with no luck on what it is. Any help would be appreciated as I have looked everywhere I can think of for an answer. Photos attached.
