Title: small blue/white plates
Post by: porcelainNewbie on August 24, 2016, 04:02:43 AM
I have five small blue/white plates (Chinese?) with a fair amount of crazing, about 6" in diameter, with I believe Chinese characters on the back. Any idea what these are?

They have a Japanese Kurani mark, I cannot read the maker some "?-zan". Not very old in my opinion.

Agree with Mat,,not very old !!  Looks like the decoration and the mark on the back was done on top of the crazing !!  That would mean the crazing was chemically produced rather than naturally from age ect !!
