Title: Wooden church candles?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had seen candles like this before and what their possible age might be? They may not be antiques at all (sorry, I'm very interested in antiques but don't actually know very much about them!). They are slightly different in size but are roughly 50cm long.

Any help gratefully received!

Mmm,, Very odd shape !!  I have not seen any like them but that is not unusual !!  These may be hand made for a specific use !!  Where did you get them ??

These are nudging at my memory...are those handles on the ends?  Reminds me of ones that were passed along...
