Title: Artist print by ?
Post by: gerspee on October 25, 2016, 08:44:09 AM
Framed in expensive frame so must be something but can't make anything from it  :P But I think there's a word in it ENVELOB or ENVELOP ? So anybody recognise the style or whatever with this print ?

The only thing I can find that seems sorta kinda similar is Russian Vector art. No idea on worth.

Sure looks similar Ghopper !!  The word may be "envelope" !!  Another language might leave the E off !!  Seemingly everyday words incorporated into the art !!

Yep. Alot of these seem to be in the public domain.

The word you're looking at Gerspee is in cyrillic and part of the art. If there is a signature, it'll be under the mount.

Thanks and I did take it out and it looks like a rice paper so thin . But no signature to be found on it not even on the back side off the print . Somebody else told me that it's maybe Italian art by Piero Manzoni ? Very difficult to make something off it as is . The only thing that's make me wonder is the professional way its been framed . Don't think you do that with a print that's really nothing ?

I looked at Manzoni's work, and I don't see it at all. But you're right, it seems logical that a fine frame would not be wasted on a cheap print.
