Looks to be a 1940`s reproduction of French Louis XV armchair !!  Similar style to the one in the link !!  Can`t see the construction to tell more !!

Agreed on the reproduction aspect; it could even be later. Worth maybe $30-$40 on a good day around here.

I attached a few more pics so maybe you can see it better. It has a few dings that will be easy to fix, but it's solid and heavy. It's been reupholstered, there is a tag on the bottom of a company in Michigan that did the work (no clue as to how it ended up in Georgia). I bought it to recover and use in my living room and I only paid $20. Don't know anything else about it. When I start to work on it and take the fabric off, I may be able to tell more.

Still say 1940`s era !!  These were pretty popular and you can find them with all sorts of carvings !!  When you start to recover take a pic of the springs and post it here !!

Mary, would you consider this a Rocco style chair?

Yep. French influence as the day is long!

Oh La La - definitely French influence.

This would sell for $50 - $80, depending on condition, in my area.
