I got this at an antique store today. I don't know what it's supposed to be. It's most definitly not actually old, just made to look old for a decorative purpose. Maybe someone will know what this is? A piece of a viking longship? Its about 26" long, made of pine painted and distressed.

Did you ask what it was ??
-
They didn't know what it was supposed to be. They thought maybe a piece of a ship. It was only $8 and I thought it was cool
-
As an art piece I think it is too !! Just have no clue what it is supposed to be !! If it is a replica,, look closely for some kind of mark or mfrs name !!

Looks like architectural salvage from a window or doorway! :)
Is it made of wood?

The top cross-piece from the back of a chair. ;D ;D

Yeah I think it's made out of pine. It could be the back of a chair, but it would be a large chair. The stile posts would have to be massive to have a mortice that would fit those big tenons

Awhitetriangle`s pic looks right !!

Hmmm...still looks like a part of an arched header for a door surround/doorway to me. Don't believe a boat would have had such big "joiners" on each end. And, the piece appears to be upside down!
Just for pondering...take a look at these - Or just a part of an arched casing between rooms (without a door)

Just door surrounds
