Estate Find: Beautiful 6 1/2" x 1" dish - blue and tan/white - lots of gold gilding. On the back of the dish it has the markings "JA or JH" 1327/17 - Italy. Does anyone know anything about this dish? Thank you

Can you take a couple of more pics please ?? One looking straight at the plate and one of the back stamp !!
-
I will try to render the pics - they are too large
-
Hopefully the pictures will show now.

Maa,
Looking at it in person, do the indents remind you of handles, pouring spouts, or rest for cigars or cigarettes?
-
The indents could be handles or resting place for spoons. Don't think it would be ashtray because of the heavy gold gilding. Thank you

I'm still puzzeled by this piece. Any other ideas as to the brand, year, etc. Thanks
-
Reminds me of a variation of a oil dipping bowl...
-
Like for olive oil ?? I didn`t find anything with those initials !!
-
I personally believe that is SA and not JA.
I have found several pieces marked with SA - all different - none look like the above. So, from what I am understanding it is for items made in Salerno Province?!
See chart: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provinces_of_Italy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provinces_of_Italy)

Thank you - I'll keep looking - SA is probably correct - thanks again.

That is what I looked for too !! SA or SH !!
