Post by: maa1247 on April 17, 2017, 07:47:23 PM
I have this lovely bisque girl figurine - I believe it to be German - Colors are lavender and green with gold embellishments
#1829 on back of figurine – Intaglio Eyes
Stands approx. 12” tall x 4 1/2x3.
Does anyone know the maker and circa?

One vintage maker among others was Heubach who used a number system (along with their trademark on some pieces) to identify different molds.
These bisque figures were more valuable at one time before the Berlin Wall came down. Shortly after that, tens of thousands of original old molds were discovered in what had been East Germany. The marketplace seemed to be filled with newly made examples. I found it became difficult to convince anyone that what I had was actually early 1900's vs.1990's.
