Title: Egyptian necklace fob?
Post by: ANCIENTONE on July 22, 2017, 09:20:44 AM
Picked this up at a yard sale yesterday. 4 inches long. Any help with age, value, what kind of stones, is much appreciated.

Reminds me of Jasper.  Jasper is a stone of many colors!  Take a look/see at Google search - Images.

Are the stones dirty ??  Can`t tell much about them !!  I do not think its a necklace pendant !!  A necklace usually has the single loop at top !!  If you put a chain through the top loop the pendant will hang sideways,, if you put a chain through the lower loop the pendant will hang straight as it should !!

No, not real dirty. I have not tried to clean though. The picture is a good representation. Here is the back.

Look at the lower part of the pendant bottom of the lower loop in the last pic !! Looks to be something stamped there !!  Last two letters look to be "co" ??

Here's a close-up but not much help. I think mart is right with "co".  Maybe Mexico?
